During COVID-19 the San Jose Police Department is functional and remains committed to providing emergency and essential services to the community. In an effort to mitigate the spread of the COVID-19 virus, visitors to the Police Department’s Main Lobby are required to wear face coverings/masks.

Many of the services provided by the main lobby can be accessed online or by telephone.

The Department is still processing paperwork for registrations, pre-booking, and warrants, and is scheduling appointments for all fingerprinting.

Sex registrants are required to register either in person or via the phone.  In the interest of helping prevent the spread of COVID-19, phone registration is the preferred method of registration.  Please call (408) 277-4114 to complete registration telephonically or to schedule an appointment for any of the above-stated services.

REGISTRATIONS: 290 registration hours and compliance expectations have resumed.

Registration hours are Monday-Friday 8am-4pm.
